Modafad is an association that concentrates on organizing events to promote up-and-coming, young designers. Organizes MerkaFAD and PasaFAD as part of Barcelona International Fashion Week.
This edition had Charter trips as a theme, and the influence that traveling has on fashion. We created an aesthetic based on the world of the airlines. Together with Aubergine studio, we created an image reminiscent of the airline lost and found hangers, full of boxes and with lots of informative elements. To produce this installation we used three basic elements: plastic boxes, plastic cable ties and foam core board with graphics on it. We used more than 3000 boxes to build the space, and during 3 days, that space mutated, from seats and fashion show backdrop, dividing walls for the Fiorucci exhibition, stands for different brands and sponsors and small stores for new designers.
